Treatments cosmetic dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry aims to optically beautify teeth. This includes veneers, teeth whitening, white fillings and the placement of crowns. We will be happy to tell you more about what we do, so you can get a good impression of what we are good at and get your bearings. Finding it difficult to decide how we can best treat you? Teeth whitening

For radiantly white teeth, you can whiten your teeth. Over the years, tooth enamel wears down, resulting in discoloured teeth. If you want to make your teeth several shades whiter, at-home bleaching is a relatively simple option. At the initial consultation, we will give you two specially tailored mouth spoons that you can use to whiten your teeth at home. Using a whitening gel, you should wear the mouth spoons in your mouth for several hours a day for two to three weeks. During this period, we monitor the progress of teeth whitening.

You can reuse the mouth spoons. So, if you want to whiten your teeth again later, you only need to collect the whitening gel from us. However, it is not wise to bleach your teeth too often. If you want to bleach your teeth for a second time, consult your dentist first.

Veneers

The placement of veneers is an increasingly popular treatment in cosmetic dentistry. This involves the dentist removing a small layer of tooth tissue from the front and then placing a layer of porcelain. With veneers, you can achieve stunning results with relatively minor removal of tooth tissue. Veneers fill gaps between your teeth, fill broken teeth and straighten crooked teeth. We always use the right colour veneers so that discoloured teeth no longer stand out. In short: veneers provide a beautiful-looking, symmetrical result.

White fillings

Replacing your current fillings with white fillings ensures that you will never see again that you have had a cavity. We use the latest generation of composites and they are of such high quality that your teeth will look perfect again after treatment. Moreover, the adhesion of our white fillings is very good, resulting in a stronger tooth after filling

Porcelain crowns

If you have a weakened tooth, for example due to a large filling or root canal treatment, a porcelain crown is the nicest option. In short, a crown is nothing more than a cap of porcelain that we place over your tooth. We remove a small amount of tooth tissue around the tooth to make room for the porcelain crown. This allows us to professionally adjust the shape, position and colour of the tooth. With a porcelain crown, we strengthen and embellish the tooth with wear-resistant material.

Dentures

It can happen that parts of the teeth are lost. The loss of teeth can cause many discomforts, such as difficulty in speaking, difficulty chewing, pain due to damaged or missing teeth. In such cases, dentures are an appropriate solution. The teeth can be partially or fully replaced with dentures. New composite veneers
Our cosmetic dentist, replaced two old composite veneers on this patient’s middle front teeth for two new composite veneers. The composition of the facings is very well matched to the rest of the teeth in terms of colour and shape. Thus, we provide a beautiful cost-saving result that also looks natural.

Correction of discoloured front teeth
The patient in the pictures below wanted to do something about the discolouration of the two middle large front teeth and one small front tooth. The cosmetic dentist placed two porcelain veneers over the two large middle front teeth and a composite veneer over the smaller front tooth. This neatly removed the discolouration and made the teeth look more beautiful and symmetrical.
